A Day at Berkeley

Our coach picked us up bright and early and we headed north across the Bay Bridge to Berkeley.  After a campus tour led by a Berkeley student guide, we had a picnic lunch on Telegraph Avenue.  The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping, visiting the interesting street stalls, and dinner at various restaurants.  The students were fascinated by the differences between the Stanford and  Berkeley campuses.  We ended another great day by going to the movies. 

We're off to Santa Cruz tomorrow:  a morning touring the UC campus, a visit to the Santa Cruz Mission, the Boardwalk, and the beach.  It's great to see the students getting along so well and the cross-cultural friendships forming.  As the program is coming to a close, the next few days will be filled with presentations, guest speaker seminars, a talent show, and a farewell dinner.  See you again tomorrow!
